Mr. Maikranz is a 38 year old German national who currently lives with his wife Akemi in Kuala Lumpur, Malayisa. He has an Masters of Science in chemistry as well as an MBA, and is a country manager for an American oil-and gas service company. In this function he has lived and worked in many places around the world.

Sven became involved with tsunami relief work when friends and relatives asked where they could donate money to assist right after the Tsunami occured. He and Akemi then traveled to Khao Lak, Thailand to look for suitable projects, where they met Dr. Stu and Dr. Sally. They decided to work together, leading to Sven taking a role on the board of 4Kali and acting as Chief Executive Officer of the foundation. Sven oversees the financial and operational aspects of the foundation, and works closely together with the team in Khao Lak.
